MRCGP [INT]

Once a year the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) organises the MRCGP [INT] development days.  This year they were done between the 24th and 26th April 2006.  The title chosen for this years' development days was "Expanding your local capacity, while continuing to raise standards".

A delegation from the Malta College of Family Doctors (MCFD) attended for this meeting in London to continue the discussions with the RCGP so that in the near future there will be the possibility for Maltese family doctors to attain the MRCGP [INT].

The meeting was a very successful one and a formal signing of a memorandum of understanding between the MCFD and the RCGP was made.  In August there should be the next visit of the RCGP International Development Advisor (Dr. Adrian Freeman) to continue with our discussions which are at an advanced stage.

The delegation was headed by Dr. Pierre Mallia as president of the MCFD. Together with him there were Dr. Philip Sciortino, Dr. Mario Sammut, Dr. Mario Grixti, Dr. Noel Caruana, Dr. Michael Cordina and Dr. Renzo De Gabriele.
