Teachers' Course in Family Medicine 2007
The Malta College of Family Doctors in collaboration with the European Academy of Teachers in General Practice and with support and supervision of the Royal College of General Practitioners organised a Teachers' Course in Family Medicine. The trainers of the course were Dr. Noel Caruana, Dr. Philip Sciortino, Dr. Mario Sammut, Dr. Andrew Zammit, Dr. Anton Bugeja, Dr. Doreen Cassar, Dr. Patricia De Gabriele, and Dr. Marek Jezierski from the Royal College of General Practitioners.
The participants were Dr. Gunther Abela, Dr. Sonia Abela, Dr. Joseph Agius Muscat, Dr. Andrew Baldacchino, Dr. Rudolph Busuttil, Dr. Noel Camilleri, Dr. Maria Stella Caruana, Dr. Karl Causon, Dr. Renzo De Gabriele, Dr. Charmaine Fava, Dr. Alfred Grech, Dr. Robert Portelli, Dr. Ray Sacco, and Dr. Ramon Tonna.
The course was very successful with both trainers and trainees gaining a wealth of experience from each other. The MCFD will follow in the footsteps of this success to organise similar courses in the near future.
