
Members of the Malta College of Family Doctors are
cordially invited to attend two special activities that are being organised by
the parentcraft services of Mater Dei Hospital during the "Breastfeeding Week"
(14th - 21st November, 2009):
1) Breastfeeding workshop on
Wednesday 18th November, 2009 between 13:00 and 16:00
hours at the Parentcraft Unit, Mater Dei Hospital (Outpatients
Section, Level 1)This
workshop will address common myths and misconceptions regarding breastfeeding
and highlight breastfeeding challenges. It is specifically designed for the
family doctor who is at the centre of reference for mothers to be and who are
very keen for information and advice regarding breastfeeding.
This workshop is being facilitated by Ms. Marie
Louise Bugeja, Midwife Manager and Co-ordinator of Parentcraft Services at
Mater Dei Hospital and Dr. Andrew P. Zammit , President, Malta College of
Family Doctors. The event will be accredited 2 units.
Light refreshments will be served.
2) Breasffeeding Seminar on
Saturday 21st November, 2009 between 09:00 and 13:00
hours at the Auditorium, Mater Dei Hospital (Block C, Level 3, above the
chapel)
This seminar will address various concepts
regarding breastfeeding. It is designed for both professionals and the public.

in due course.
